Expect beautiful weather in Gainesville this weekend with some cooler temperatures today.The National Weather Service in Peachtree City forecasts lower temperatures today with a high near 80 during the day and a low in the upper 50s at night.A cold front passed through the area Friday bringing much drier air. The result is lower temperatures, which began Friday night with lows in the mid 50s.“With the colder front moving through, it’s the drier and cooler air behind the cold front,” Trisha Palmer, National Weather Service forecaster, said of the factors bringing in the cooler temperatures.The cooler temperatures are below normal for our area this time of year. The normal high is usually 86 degrees.
