Two people in a wreck Wednesday morning — including a child — were transferred to hospitals, police said. The child was transported the Egleston campus of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said the crash happened on U.S. 129/Athens Highway.

“An SUV pulled from Lenox Park Drive in the path of a northbound SUV on (Athens Highway),” Holbrook said. “A third vehicle was struck during the collision.”

Holbrook said two patients were transported with “possible serious injuries.”

The crash is still under investigation.
