Thunderstorms that skirted North Georgia on Friday afternoon could pop up again during the day Saturday.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for scattered showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. with a high near 83. The chance of shows is 50 percent, stronger in the afternoon and falling overnight.
Sunday should be cooler with highs around 78.
Storms could bring heavy rain, strong winds, small hail and frequent lightning.
Friday afternoon brought rumbles of thunder but little else in Gainesville, with no rain recorded at the NWS recording station at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport.
