The job fair of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce is full of exhibitors, and officials hope for a crowd of 1,000 or more, chamber project manager Amanda Lewis said.

The fifth annual job fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 23 at the Gainesville Civic Center. It is free and open to the public.

“It’s a time we have used for quite a few years now, and it seems to work well,” Lewis said, for employers and potential job seekers.

Nearly 40 exhibitors have jobs to fill. A listing of exhibitors and exhibitors with positions available can be found online

Job seekers may fill out employment applications at the fair.

The job fair will have 64 exhibitors with information about their companies or organizations.

“It’s a very popular event,” Lewis said, noting the top floor of the civic center will be full of companies.

Lewis also said the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission resource bus will be parked outside, and staff members will be available to help potential job seekers with resumes and other questions.

“Several years ago, we felt a need to assist our members who were looking for workers. … So we now have an annual job fair,” said Kit Dunlap, president of the chamber. “We are fortunate that business and industries are expanding in our community. We have sold out of space for companies-employers. If there were a larger space, we could have had more employers.”
