Saturday is the 100th day of 2016, the year when Braselton marks the centennial of its founding, so in celebration, Buy Local Braselton is hosting a special event.
The town of Braselton recently launched the Buy Local program, dedicated to the promotion and support of local businesses that create and maintain the distinctive character, unique community and economic strength of Braselton.
“With almost 600 licensed businesses within town limits, spread across Jackson, Hall, Barrow and Gwinnett counties, we are working to bring connectivity to Braselton, through branding and networking among businesses, to make residents and visitors more aware of the shopping and playing opportunities available right here in Braselton,” said Town Manager Jennifer Dees of the Live, Work, Play and Shop community.
“We're celebrating this milestone by hosting many centennial events throughout the year, and Buy in Braselton event on April 9 is just one,” said Dees.
Some businesses will be offering promotions, door prizes, raffles and sales which are being promoted, along with other offerings and announcements, at the Buy Local Braselton Facebook page. Another Buy in Braselton Day is being planned for later in the year.
The Buy Local Program also hosts quarterly meetings for business owners and residents. Dates and events can be found on the Facebook page, as well.
A special offering this Saturday includes the book launch at Braselton Gallery for “Sidetracked” by Jackie White and Milam McGraw Propst set for 3-5 p.m. Sales throughout the shop and a gift basket giveaway are also planned.
