The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center has announced classes for new business entrepreneurs and existing business owners during January.
Wednesday: How To Start Your Own Business, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gainesville SBDC office, 999 Chestnut St. Topics include the traits of successful entrepreneurs, market research, legal structures for businesses, estimating start-up costs and cash flow projections, financing alternatives, failure factors, and business planning.
Jan. 19 and 26: Quick Books Series, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gwinnett SBDC office, 1000 University Center Lane, Lawrenceville. This two-part workshop provides participants with hands-on experience in the QuickBooks environment, including case studies on computer-assisted accounting skills with practical exercises.
Jan. 23: How To Write A Business Plan, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Gainesville SBDC office. The class covers why a business plan is critical to success, especially for those needing a loan or investor for a business. This course will explain the sections of the business plan, what information is required for each section, and the general format for a business plan.
