The Gainesville office of the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center has scheduled a series of classes in the coming weeks for small-business owners.

Two QuickBooks Series workshops are scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 18 and 25 at the
SBDC office at The Featherbone Center, 999 Chestnut St., Gainesville.

The interactive workshop provides hands-on experience in the QuickBooks environment, and is appropriate for both newcomers and experienced users.

The cost is $199; pre-registration is required and seating limited.

Two sessions of the Social Media Series are scheduled at the SBDC office.

Social Media Part I —The Basics is set for 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 22 and will explore the basics of social media and how and why to start.

Social Media Part II — Intermediate is scheduled for 1:30-4:30 p.m. June 22 and includes more advanced training, including linking accounts, finding relevant content, related resources and how to find and attract prospects.

The cost is $35 for each; pre-registration is required and seating limited.
