Merial Select earns state safety award
Merial Select of Gainesville has won the Georgia Department of Labor's Superior Innovations Award for workplace safety.
Merial Select won the award based on its success in instituting lean manufacturing concepts. The company's Tracking, Environment, Accident Reporting and Matrix concept has given employees knowledge and a visual reminder of potential problems.
Deputy Labor Commissioner Melanie Stockwell of Atlanta presented the award at the 18th annual Georgia Safety, Health, and Environmental Conference held recently in Savannah.
GDOL's awards program annually recognizes the "best of the best" for achievement in workplace health and safety. Merial Select was one of nine companies and individuals who received awards at the conference.
