Longstreet neurosurgeon Grunch chosen as Becker’s ‘29 Women to Know’ in field
Dr. Betsy H. Grunch of the Longstreet Clinic was named by Becker’s Spine Review as one of “29 Women in Spine and Neurosurgery to Know” in a recent edition.
The list includes women who are practicing orthopedic spine and neurospine surgery and who fulfill leadership roles within their organizations, participate in research and have earned high recognition among their colleagues in the field. Members of the list were selected based on editorial research.
Grunch joined the clinic in August. She earned her degree from the Medical College of Georgia after receiving a bachelor of science degree from the University of Georgia. She completed her residency in neurosurgery at Duke University Medical Center.
She is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, American College of Surgeons, Association of Women Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Her speciality focuses on minimally invasive spinal surgery and neurotrauma including traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.
