Hazel, Chambers join Northeast Georgia Physicians Group
Dr. Mark Hazel has joined the practice of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine based in Gainesville.
Hazel received his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health System in Lubbock, Texas. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a sub-specialty certification in sports medicine and more than 18 years of orthopedic and sports medicine experience in Texas, North Carolina and most recently in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
“I spent years coaching sports for my four sons, and, now that they are all off at school, I am excited about the opportunity to serve more teams and athletic programs through my work with NGPG,” Hazel said in a news release. “I’m also an avid outdoorsman, so I look forward to exploring all that North Georgia has to offer.”
Dr. James Chambers has joined NGPG Surgical Associates.
Chambers received his medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where he also completed his general surgery residency. He is a board-certified general surgeon and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He also earned a doctorate of philosophy from University of Alabama.
“I am very excited about practicing at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, especially since it is rated Georgia’s No. 1 surgery hospital, and joining a prestigious practice like NGPG Surgical Associates,” Chambers said in a news release.
Chambers will practice in Braselton.
