National Business Honor Society opens chapter at Brenau UniversityThe Delta Mu Delta business honor society will open a chapter at Brenau University in Gainesville.The 100-year-old, Brookfield, Ill.-based society operates on 240 campuses worldwide. It recognizes academic excellence in baccalaureate, master’s, and doctorate degree business administration programs.Delta Mu Delta selects students in the top 20 percent of their classes for lifetime membership. There are more than 160,000 members in 175 countries.“Becoming a chapter in Delta Mu Delta is a very significant achievement,” said Bill Lightfoot, dean of the College of Business & Mass Communication at Brenau.
