Morgan Keegan names Dawkins managing director
Richard H. Dawkins of Toccoa has been elected managing director of Morgan Keegan & Co., Inc.
Dawkins is a financial adviser in the firms Athens branch office. He began his career with Regions Investment Co. in 1994 and joined Morgan Keegan in 2001 when the firm was acquired by Regions Financial.
He is a 1993 graduate of North Georgia Military Academy. Originally from Palm Beach, Fla., he serves as vice president on the Gainesville Estate Planning Council and as secretary for the Northeast Georgia Red Cross. He attends Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Wayne named to Leadership Georgia’s Board of Trustees
Alexander Wayne of Flowery Branch, a partner at Wayne Trading Company, has been named to the 2010 Board of Trustees for Leadership Georgia.
Alexander founded Flowery Branch Better Hometown Program, an organization of volunteers who that works to revitalize Flowery Branch’s Historic Main Street and facilitate community involvement and civic pride. He is also on the Board of Northeast Georgia Medical Center Health Partners.
Alexander and his wife, Shannan, are 2008 graduates of Leadership Georgia.
Leadership Georgia is one of the nation’s oldest and most successful leadership-training programs for young business, civic and community leaders.
