Gainco Inc., a manufacturer of scales, automated sorting and other yield-enhancement systems for the meat, poultry and food processing industries, has moved to a new headquarters location in Gainesville.

Nearly twice the size of Gainco's former facilities, the new headquarters will house executive offices plus research and development, engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing, customer service, plus administrative functions.

Gainco's new headquarters is located at 1635 Oakbrook Drive.

"We were fortunate to find new facilities located very close to our former headquarters," general manager Joe Cowman said.

"This has allowed our move to be very smooth, while also not inconveniencing our employees. We're also pleased to remain part of the corporate community in Gainesville, which is a key commercial center in the poultry industry."

In addition to its Gainesville facilities, Gainco maintains a second sales and service center in Fort Smith, Ark. Both facilities also include extensive warehouse operations.
