Braselton man arrested after authorities find marijuana, firearms

More than 3 pounds of marijuana, an ounce of methamphetamine and three firearms — one stolen — were seized during from a drug investigation last week, according to a Friday news release from the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad.

The estimated street value of the drugs exceeded $8,800, according to MANS Lt. Scott Ware.

Braselton man Khalil Akin Washington, 20, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, theft by receiving and possession of hydrocodone.

According to Ware, the squad’s agents and Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies caught Washington in the 1500 block of Fullenwider Drive, where he had set up a drug deal.

He has been booked in at the Hall County Jail.
