Boy, 5, revived after pulled unresponsive from swimming pool

A 5-year-old boy was revived after being pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool in South Hall Sunday, May 19. 

A bystander trained as a life guard pulled the boy out of the pool and used CPR to revive the child. 

"After several rounds of CPR, the child regained consciousness," according to a Hall County Fire Services press release.

The incident took place in a community pool at Meadowland Way and Grandview Parkway, which are off JM Turk Road. The incident took place about 3 p.m.

The boy was taken by medical helicopter to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
