Pre-opening giveaway: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in drive-thru
Braselton residents don’t have to wait until opening day to get their first taste from the city’s new Bojangles’.
The restaurant, located at 5650 Green St. in the city that straddles South Hall County, opens at 6 a.m. Sunday. Before that, it is giving away a free ham, steak or sausage biscuit and a 22 oz. tea to patrons in its drive-thru between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday.
The 3,800-square-foot restaurant will have seating for more than 75 guests. Bojangles’ representatives said in a news release that the opening of the company-owned restaurant will create 50 jobs.
Bojangles’, known for its chicken and biscuits, brands itself with the slogan “It’s Bo Time.” The company gained further notoriety when 2011 “American Idol” winner Scott McCreery regularly referenced his affinity for Bojangles’ on the show.
McCreery, who will be playing a concert July 17 at the amphitheater of the Atlanta Botanical Garden Gainesville, a Smithgall Woodland Legacy, has filmed multiple commercials for the restaurant.
Saturday’s pre-opening giveaway is a prelude to a Sunday packed with promotions: $50 gift cards for the first 50 customers, a free tea with any purchase from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a free kid’s meal with any purchase from 2-5 p.m. and a coupon for a free ham, steak or sausage biscuit with any purchase from 5-10 p.m.
Customers will also be able to enter a contest to win a free Bojangles’ breakfast combo each week for a year.
As of March 29, Bojangles’ had 377 franchised restaurants and another 258 that were company-operated, most of which are in Southeast. The company was founded in 1977 in Charlotte, N.C.
Bojangles’ also has locations in Gainesville, Buford, Dawsonville, Cornelia, Jefferson and Commerce, according to the company’s website.
