Hall County firefighters responded to at least two fires Tuesday as temperatures plunged.

Fire Chief David Kimbrell said firefighters responded late Tuesday afternoon to the 5800 block of Julian Baugh Road in East Hall, finding a fully involved fire at a single-wide mobile home. As of presstime, Kimbrell said the cause of the fire was undetermined.

Earlier Tuesday, Hall County Fire Services responded to a house fire on Dixie Drive shortly after noon.

Firefighters arrived to find a 1,200-square-foot home with light smoke coming from the carport, he said. The fire was contained to some stacked firewood and a freezer and was quickly extinguished.

Kimbrell said the fire originated from burning cigarette ashes. The freezer was a total loss. There was no other significant damage and no one was injured.
