Police investigating armed robbery at Gainesville Walgreens
Gainesville Police are seeking public help in tracking down more information on a December 30, 2020 armed robbery at Walgreens on South Enota Dr.

Updated Jan. 11: Police say a so far unknown Walgreens drive-thru customer could help investigators solve a Dec. 30 armed robbery at the Gainesville pharmacy.

Gainesville Police released more information and a surveillance image Monday, Jan. 11, of the armed robbery at the South Enota Drive business.

Police said they believe the suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash after the robbery and got into a car parked at a nearby business.

“An unknown customer was at the pharmacy drive-thru during this incident and could potentially have valuable information about this case,” police said in a Facebook post.

Original story: A man entered a Gainesville Walgreens with a handgun Wednesday, Dec. 30, and demanded cash, police said.

Gainesville Police are investigating the robbery that happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday at the South Enota Drive drug store.

Lt. Kevin Holbrook said the suspect, a Black man wearing a gray hoodie and black pants, ran from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police did not have any further description of the suspect.
