Pedestrian robbed at gunpoint in Oakwood

A pedestrian was robbed of his wallet this week after two men got out of their car and pulled a handgun, according to authorities.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth said the armed robbery happened around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 near McEver Road and Waverly Way.

Booth said a red Honda Civic pulled up near the pedestrian.

“After getting out of the car, one man pointed a handgun at the victim while a second suspect took the victim’s wallet, according to preliminary information,” Booth wrote in an email.

The suspects then drove off toward Waverly Way.

The suspects were described as “Hispanic men wearing dark clothing,” Booth said.

The case is still under investigation.
