Man ejected from car, seriously injured in wreck

A Gainesville man was ejected after losing control of his car Monday, Nov. 4, on Roy Parks Road, according to authorities.

Ellijah Sanchez, 24, was driving a 2005 Volvo S80 around 4:30 p.m. Monday westbound on Roy Parks Road.

Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Joshua Hedden said Sanchez’s vehicle first went off the right side of the road. After rotating counterclockwise, the car went off the left side of the road and overturned multiple times.

Sanchez’s car struck two trees with its left side before coming to rest on all four wheels.

Hedden said Sanchez was not restrained and was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for serious injuries.

Hedden said charges are pending.
