Florida man accused of molesting two young girls in Hall

During an investigation into alleged sexual abuse involving a 4-year-old girl, detectives said they determined the same man had molested a second young girl at the same residence six years earlier, according to authorities.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jonathan Marshall Wallace, 31, of New Port Richey, Florida, on Oct. 2, who was transported to the Hall County Jail Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Hall County authorities began investigating Sept. 9, when family members of a 4-year-old girl reported alleged sexual abuse.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth said Wallace was acquainted with the child, and investigators believe the sexual abuse occured this year at a Hall County residence.

“Investigators also determined that Wallace molested a second victim at the same residence between June 1, 2013, and Dec. 1, 2013. Wallace was also acquainted with the earlier female victim, who was (6 years old) at the time,” Booth said.

Wallace was charged with aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation and child molestation. He is being held at the jail without bond.

An attempt to reach Wallace’s attorney William Brownell for comment Wednesday was unsuccessful.

The case is still under investigation.
