A Gainesville man faces drug charges in connection to an estimated $566,000 in methamphetamine and marijuana, plus weapons, according to authorities.

Walter Xavier Flowers, 25, was arrested Thursday by members of the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad and Gainesville Police.

“Agents arrested Flowers without incident as he arrived at a pre-determined location in the 1900 block of Jesse Jewell Parkway,” MANS Lt. Scott Ware wrote in a news release.

Authorities said they seized 5 ounces of methamphetamine and two Glock pistols in Flowers’ possession.

The narcotics squad then moved to Flowers’ home in the 2300 block of Pine Grove Road in Gainesville.

“During the search of the home, an additional (15) ounces of methamphetamine was located as was three growing marijuana plants and three additional firearms,” Ware said.

Two rifles and a shotgun were seized, Ware said. The estimated value of the drugs seized totaled $566,000.
