Authorities seize $23K in meth from Lula home

A Lula man was charged with possessing about $23,000 worth of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, according to Hall County law enforcement authorities.

Gregory Mark Ward, 49, was arrested and charged Tuesday. He was booked into the Hall County Jail, where he remains.

Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad agents conducted a drug investigation along with probation officers. Law enforcement searched Tuesday at Ward’s home in the 6000 block of Duncan Road in Lula.

The search of his home “yielded methamphetamine, packaging materials and three sets of digital scales,’ according to a MANS news release.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized totalled $23,500.

Ward was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. Officers also placed a probation hold on Ward.
