Author Muffet Frische spoke to sixth-graders on Tuesday at C.W. Davis Middle School in Flowery Branch. She told the students, who are reading her book, how it was inspired by her cousin’s experiences during World War II. The book is a historical novel set in northern California about children that fought to keep their town alive while their parents were serving on battlefields and working in factories during the war.
