I would like to know plans for paving the bridge on Ga. 53 at the edge of Gainesville city limits. The east side of the bridge looks brand new, while the west side looks like a patchwork quilt. According to Teri Pope, district spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Transportation, a maintenance project on the westbound side of the double bridges over the Chattahoochee River portion of Lake Lanier is scheduled for July.
