Appalachian Parkway getting longer in White County
TRANSPORTATION 2.jpg

The third phase of the Appalachian Parkway in White County is now an official project, having been awarded to a contractor.

The $11 million project calls for widening Hulsey Road to four lanes with a center turn lane between North Main Street/U.S. 129 and Helen Highway/Ga. 75.

The Appalachian Parkway now runs west of Cleveland, connecting the northern end of the city to the southern tip.

This project is expected to take 510 days to complete.
