Two Gainesville residents were arrested Friday on drug charges at an Atlanta Street apartment, authorities said.
Jimmy Jarod Parks, 24, was one of 13 suspects that investigators with the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad were still seeking after rounding up several others who had arrest warrants for sales to undercover agents.
On Thursday, 14 people were arrested, most charged with sale of cocaine stemming from the undercover operation, reported Lt. Scott Ware, head of the MANS unit.
Parks was charged with sale of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana and distribution of cocaine and marijuana within 1,000 feet of government housing.
Parks, as well as Nikita Payne, 20, were arrested at the apartment complex Green Hunter Homes at 240 Atlanta St., Ware said.
Payne was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana and distribution of cocaine and marijuana within 1,000 feet of government housing.
Upon execution of a search warrant, MANS agents and officers with the Gainesville Police Department found and seized crack cocaine, marijuana, scales and cash. The street value of the drugs seized was about $1,900, Ware said.
Both suspects were arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail.
