Amazon is hiring for 1,000 full-time jobs at its 850,000-square-foot plant in Jefferson. The online retail giant is paying $11 to $11.50 an hour for warehouse workers at its newest leased facility on Hog Mountain Road in Jackson County, according to a Friday announcement. The jobs represent $22.7 million to $23.9 million in payroll for the area, or about $92,000 a day for 1,000 employees.
