An Alto man is dead and his wife is hospitalized after a crash at a North Carolina racetrack over the weekend. Police in Concord, N.C., say Alan Richard Mockus, 66, was killed in a collision between two motorcycles on the track. The incident occurred Saturday evening at Charlotte Motor Speedway in an event that attracted about 62,000 people, according to The Charlotte Observer.
