Five teens, including three juveniles, have been charged in a series of burglaries and vandalism in Lula, authorities said Friday.

Chad Hoffman, 17, of Gainesville, Casey Nix, 18, of Lula, a 14-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl have been arrested in connection with the crimes that occurred between Aug. 28 and Aug. 30, Hall County Sheriff’s Col. Jeff Strickland said.

Strickland said the teens broke into the Lula Masonic Lodge, New Image Hair Salon, Steph & Co. Hair Salon, Lula Assembly of Praise and a home in the 600 block of Cobb Street.

They also are suspected in the April burglary of Lula Pharmacy, Strickland said.

In addition, the teens are accused of spray-painting graffiti on property at Lula Elementary School, Davidson Restorations and a house on Main Street, as well as breaking into one car at Lanier’s Auto on Athens Street and another car on Main Street.

Investigators have recovered a gun, a laptop computer and a car stereo they believe were stolen in the burglaries and car break-ins.

Hoffman is charged with multiple counts of burglary, entering auto and criminal trespass. Nix is charged with burglary and entering auto.
