Five people were taken to the hospital Tuesday after a two-car collision on Ga.369/Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville, according to authorities. Georgia State Patrol said Adolphus Jefferson, 65, of Gainesville, was driving eastbound on Jesse Jewell Parkway near Hamilton Road in a Honda Accord. Philip Tapp, 19, of Gainesville, approached the same intersection heading westbound in a Ford Fiesta. “(Jefferson’s car) failed to maintain its lane and crossed over the double yellow line into the travel path of (Tapp’s car),” Cpl. Jonathan Munger wrote in an email.
