A Hall County woman was arrested after authorities said they seized 15 marijuana plants.

Tammy L. Moses, 55, was charged with manufacturing marijuana. She was booked Tuesday in to the Hall County Jail and was later released.

Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad agents conducted an investigation with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force.

Sgt. Don Scalia of the MANS unit said agents conducted a search at a location in the 3000 block of Dixieland Farm Road in Gainesville.

“During the course of the search, agents seized 15 marijuana plants with an approximate street value of $30,000,” Scalia wrote in a news release.

Scalia said no further arrests or charges are expected at this time.

Moses said there were not 15 plants and added that they were for “personal use only, never to manufacture, never to sell.”

The Hall County woman said they were so small that they had not flowered.

“They were just plants that I was growing with my tomatoes,” Moses said.
