A 3-year-old girl flown Monday to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta after falling in a pool is in “critical but stable condition,” according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Stephen Wilbanks said Kenlee Ward, of Dayton, Ohio, and her family were renting a vacation home in the Sardis area.

The girl “wandered into the backyard of the residence and fell into the pool,” Wilbanks said.

“She was discovered by family members, who performed CPR until the arrival of EMS personnel,” Wilbanks said.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center before a helicopter transport to the Atlanta hospital.

The incident happened before 3 p.m. Monday in the Marina Bay subdivision of Sardis.

The case is still under investigation, and no further details were available.
