Three robbery reports were made to Gainesville Police between Saturday and Sunday, according to authorities.
Around 2 a.m. Saturday at the Shallowford Road Murphy Express gas station, two men entered the store, presented “a firearm and took currency from two different registers,” according to police.
“They also took alcohol, cigarettes and a cellphone from the clerk,” Cpl. Drew Reed said.
An attempt to reach a representative for Murphy Express for comment Monday was unsuccessful.
On Mill Street and McDonald Street Saturday, a man was walking down the street and was approached by three men. Police said the victim’s forearm was cut with a knife, as the men took his wallet.
The third report came in the early hours of Sunday, where a man was asleep in a parking lot on Cleveland Highway.
“It appears that the male had a strong odor of alcohol on his person,” Reed said. “The subject stated that four males approached him earlier in the evening and took an amount of currency from him.”
