City officials are set to present proposed changes to short-term rentals during the Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 8.
Three robbery reports were made to Gainesville Police between Saturday and Sunday, according to authorities. Around 2 a.m. Saturday at the Shallowford Road Murphy Express gas station, two men entered the store, presented “a firearm and took currency from two different registers,” according to police. “They also took alcohol, cigarettes and a cellphone from the clerk,” Cpl. Drew Reed said.
