A boat was destroyed in a fire Saturday afternoon in the area of Van Pugh Campground on Lake Lanier.

Three people escaped the fire and boarded another boat before authorities arrived, Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett wrote in an email, and no injuries were reported.

Hall Fire Services responded to the blaze at 1:30 p.m. 

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
