Two fires extinguished Christmas night in Hall County led to a total loss of a mobile home and $500,000 in damage to another home.
Hall County Fire Services responded Friday to a singlewide mobile home in the 4800 block of Flat Creek Road that was 75 percent involved in flames.
Capt. Zachary Brackett said Tuesday the cause was electrical in nature and the home was a total loss.
The same night, firefighters arrived at the 5400 block of Hidden Harbor Landing off Flat Creek. The 3,500-square-foot home was 30 percent involved in the fire and had heavy fire showing.
Brackett said the cause is still being investigated but was deemed accidental in nature.
“The estimated loss on this structure is $500,000,” Brackett wrote in an email.
