Two Gainesville men were arrested early Wednesday in connection with a 2 a.m. armed robbery at the Waffle House on Limestone Parkway.
The Gainesville Police Department responded to the incident at 2555 Limestone Parkway. Police say two suspects entered the restaurant, “brandished a firearm and demanded the contents of the register.” The suspects also are accused of taking the purse from a restaurant patron, Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said.
Officers arrested Christopher Andrew Bush, 18, and Malik Makael Jackson, 19, at an apartment complex just after the incident, according to police. Both are charged with armed robbery and are being held at the Hall County Jail.
The incident Wednesday is the second suspected Waffle House robbery in Gainesville in 10 days.
Gainesville Police responded around 12:45 a.m. April 10 to the Pentee Drive restaurant to a robbery report. The suspects entered the business and demanded money after brandishing a firearm.
“It’s something that investigators are looking into, to determine if there is any connection between the two,” Holbrook said.
