Two Gainesville residents have been charged in the Jan. 15 sexual assault of a 22-year-old woman.

Darryl Dewayne Johnson, 29, is accused of rape, and Taqueria Shanise Bell, 24, is charged with aggravated sodomy, according to a Hall County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The incident occurred at a residence on Baker Road in East Hall, and the victim knew her attackers, sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Scott Ware said.

Johnson is on probation for possession of cocaine and felony possession of marijuana, the sheriff’s office said.

Both suspects are being held at the Hall County Jail.

The case remains under investigation.
