15th confirmed rabies case found in Hall
Dog made contact with rabid skunk in North Hall

A skunk sent to the Georgia Public Health Lab tested positive for rabies Thursday and became the 15th Hall County case for the year.

A dog made contact with the skunk in North Hall near Pea Ridge Road. The Decatur-based health lab tested the animal and told Hall County Animal Control Thursday about the positive result.

Anyone noticing an animal acting abnormally should contact Hall County Animal Services at 770-531-6830 or Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812 during non-working hours.
