Plans are set to break ground on an active-adult community for individuals 55 and older this January.
Jim Chapman Communities of Atlanta is planning to build McEver Mill, a 105-lot community located on 14 acres at the intersection of McEver Road and Old Flowery Branch Road one mile from Lake Lanier.
At approximately 1,450 square feet each, the 1.5-story attached ranch townhouses will include three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master bathroom on the main floor, covered front and back porches, individual driveways and one-car garages.
Prices in the gated community will start in the high $100,000s.
Jim Chapman, president of Jim Chapman Communities and incoming president of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, has laid a foundation in Hall County, beginning with the donation of a modular show home to Family Promise. The home will serve as a transitional shelter for homeless parents and children moving from the streets to self-reliance.
“Location is always a key decision-making factor for our buyers,” Chapman said in a press release. “But so are good design, good access and a great value.”
