A two-vehicle, head-on collision on Thompson Bridge Road on Wednesday morning sent both drivers to the hospital, one with serious injuries, according to authorities. Gainesville Fire Department spokesman Keith Smith said the wreck happened just north of Virginia Circle. The man driving a white car was seriously injured and transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, Smith said.
