Marjorie Uys and Adam Carlton Edenfield were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Aug. 4, 2012, at Reunion Country Club in Hoschton. The bride is the daughter of Rudolph and Estine Uys of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Randy and Nancy Edenfield of Lula.
The Rev. John Batusic performed the ceremony. Vocalist Elzabe Uys, and violinists Emese Toth and Anna Patterson presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Elzabe Uys of Gainesville was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were the groom’s sisters Emalee Edenfield of Lula, Sara Grace Edenfield of Lula, bride’s friends Tiffany Gibbs of Gainesville, Sarah Fell of Brunswick, Ginger Sailors of Bremen, and Katey Kibler of Cumming.
The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother Philip Uys of Gainesville and the groom’s friends Nathan Owens of Flowery Branch, Josh Preston of Flowery Branch, Ethan Forney of Gainesville, Troy Collins of Newnan, and Andrew Moon of Commerce.
The bride wore a veil sewn by her mother and carried brooches on her bouquet in memory of her grandmothers.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Reunion Country Club in Hoschton, on the eve of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple reside in Marietta.
