Kelley and Brian Sterner

Kelley Elizabeth Uber and Brian David Sterner were united in marriage at 4 p.m. May 10, 2008, at Cane Creek Falls Chapel in Dahlonega. The bride is the daughter of Karen and Jeffery Griffin of Flowery Branch and Rebecca and Stanley Uber of Griffin. The groom is the son of Susan and Robert Sterner of Syracuse, N.Y.

The Rev. David Gravitt performed the ceremony. Rising Appalachia presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her brother Jake Griffin. Bridesmaids were the bride’s cousin Malissa Ergle Koblick of Madison and the bride’s friends Lindsey and Ashley Clark, both of Gainesville, and Tiara Perleberg of Flowery Branch.

Groomsmen were the groom’s brother Chris Sterner and the groom’s friends Jim Axelsson of Woodstock, Rob Otterstaller of Stafford, Va., and Andy LaMay of Phoenix, N.Y. Ushers were Matt Phillips, Matt Adams, and Brian and Nick Ergle. Deb Gregson was the wedding coordinator.

The bride wore a blue sapphire necklace given to her by the groom, and the bride and her mother carried matching vintage blue embroidered handkerchiefs.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at grandmother Edith Ergle’s house in Dahlonega on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Camp Glisson in Dahlonega following the ceremony.
Following a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., the couple reside in Lawrenceville.
