Kayla and Kristopher Gilbert

Kayla Jean Savage and Kristopher James Gilbert were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Dec. 1, 2007, at Riverbend Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mike and Linda Savage of Gainesville. The groom is the son of James and Jan Gilbert of Gainesville.

The Rev. David Edmondson performed the ceremony.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's friend Christy Rowland of Gainesville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friend April Oliver, the bride's sister-in-law Sabrina Savage, the bride's cousin Anna Ward, and the bride's aunt Diane Davis, all of Gainesville. The bride's cousin Kaely Jalbert of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Bo Fowler of Atlanta, Paul Brackin, Matt O'Neal, and the groom's cousin Alex Walker, all of Gainesville. The bride's nephew Dylan Shields of Gainesville was the ring bearer. Ushers were Michael Savage and Brett Barnes.

The bride wore a crystal heart-shaped necklace given to her by the groom, a handkerchief given to her by the matron of honor with the bride's pearl baby bracelet attached and her mother's anniversary ring.

The groom's family gave a rehearsal dinner at the Fellowship Hall of Riverbend Baptist Church on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's family gave a reception at the Reception Hall of Riverbend Baptist Church following the ceremony. Sandi Walker, Grady Davis and Dennis Jalbert assisted. The groom's cousin Tina Kelley was the wedding coordinator.

Brandy Jalbert kept the bride's book.

Following a wedding trip to Key West, Fla., the couple resides in Gainesville.
