Charles and Peggy Secunda

Miss Peggy Amanda Reeves and Mr. Charles Evan Secunda were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Feb. 25, 2017, at Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Deborah W. Reeves and Mr. Jewell Marcus Reeves Jr. of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Ms. Honey Secunda of Marietta and the late Mr. Ross Secunda.

The Rev. Stuart Higginbotham performed the ceremony.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Mrs. Ashley Schinella of Villa Rica was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Mrs. Mary Frances Clark of Gainesville, Mrs. Shelby DeCusati of Atlanta, Mrs. Angie Kennedy of Gainesville, Miss Kristen Payne of Gainesville and Mrs. Megan Strickland of Murrayville, the groom’s sister Mrs. Hannah Goza of Charleston, S.C., and the bride’s sister-in-law Mrs. Traci Reeves of Upatoi. The groom’s cousin Miss Nora Johnston of Sterling, Va., was a junior bridesmaid. The bride’s friend Miss Evelyn Woodfin was the flower girl.

The groom’s brother Mr. Jimbo Secunda of Marietta was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Mr. Ben Fender of Athens, Mr. Robby Hefflinger of Buford, Mr. Logan Jones of Gainesville, Mr. Sloan Strickland of Gainesville and Mr. Daniel Welborn of Gainesville, the groom’s brother-in-law Mr. Evan Goza of Charleston, S.C., and the bride’s brother Mr. Trey Reeves of Upatoi. The groom’s friends Mr. Jack Gillet and Mr. Cole Gillet of Birmingham, Ala., were junior groomsmen. The groom’s friend Mr. Beau Gillet of Birmingham, Ala., was the ring bearer. Ushers were Mr. Anderson Loggins, Mr. William Maddox, Mr. Stephen Mason and Mr. Spencer Sorrells.

Mrs. Merilyn Woodfin was the wedding coordinator.

The bride carried a bouquet wrapped with lace from her mother’s wedding dress.

The groom’s aunt and uncle Mrs. Jessie and Mr. David Carmon gave a rehearsal dinner at Grove Street Station in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Gainesville.
