Ryan Marie Omenski and Alexander Volentine Green were united in marriage at 1 p.m. April 26, 2008, at Highlands United Methodist Church in Birmingham, Ala. The bride is the daughter of John and Michelle Omenski of Huntsville, Ala. The groom is the son of Maurice and Annett Green of Birmingham.

The Rev. David Carboni performed the ceremony. Organist Richard C. Phillips, vocalist Billy J. Jenkins and violinist David Yoonsung Park presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's sisters Sarah Beth Omenski and Samantha Joe Omenski, both of Huntsville, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Hillary Catherine Ballant of Montgomery, Ala., Jennifer Lauren Gravel of Birmingham, Caitlin Mahoney Ogren of Fairhope, Ala., and Emily Joyce Shedd of Mobile, Ala. The bride's cousin Annabel Caroline Hart of Birmingham was the flower girl.

The groom's brother Andrew MacKenzie Green of Birmingham was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends William Edward Blount III, Robert Louis Crook III, Jackson Bently Owens and Samuel Brian Siegal, all of Birmingham, and Andrew John Genova of Chevy Chase, Maryland. The bride's cousin Christopher Michael Malloy Schmidt of Birmingham was the ring bearer. Ushers were the groom's friends Christopher Hugh Daniel and Robert Smith Hunter.

The bride carried her mother's rosary and wore diamond and pearl earrings given to her by the groom.

Erin Susann Hudnall and Ashton Kaye Hudnall kept the bride's book.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Country Club of Birmingham the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at the The Country Club of Birmingham following the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Birmingham.
