Billy and Carly Simmons

Carly Michelle O'Donnell and Billy Joshua Simmons were united in marriage at 6 p.m. May 31, 2008, at the Grove Level Baptist Church Chantry in Maysville. The bride is the daughter of Bill and Vivica O'Donnell of Lula. The groom is the son of Renee Simmons of Albemarle, N.C., and Billy Jay and Patty Simmons of Talmo.

The bride's grandfather the Rev. Melvin Baugh performed the ceremony. Vocalists Cheryl Hall and Adam Kersh presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's sister Kristin O'Donnell of Lula was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Haleigh Foster, Alyssa Watson and Molly Watkins, all of Lula, Crystal Tench of Alto, and the bride's cousin Courtney Crowe of Homer. The bride's friends Alyssa Bissonnette and Bethany Phagan, both of Lula, were the flower girls.

The groom's friend Jimmy Evenson of Talmo was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Dusty Poole of Gainesville, Barry Whitfield and Jon Tench, both of Alto, the bride's brother Devin O'Donnell of Lula, and the bride's cousin Austin Crowe of Homer. The groom's nephews Jacob and Justin Gilbert, both of Lula, were the ring bearers. Hailey and Camden Tench, Tonya Suttles, Carla Pass, Susan Peck, Lucretia Crowe, Drema Watson, Becky Foster and Charlene Holley assisted.

The bride's mother and Cindy Bissonnette were the wedding coordinators.

Courtney Lovell and Ashley Dejarnette kept the bride's book.

The bride's parents gave a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding and a reception following the ceremony at the Grove Level Baptist Church Reception Hall in Maysville.

Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Lula.
