Miss Sara Saxon Moss and Mr. John Marshall Melvin Jr., were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Dec. 19, 2009, at Church of the Good Shepherd in Lookout Mountain, Tenn. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Durham Moss of Lookout Mountain. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall Melvin Sr. of Gainesville.

The Rev. Louis F. Garcia performed the ceremony. A cellist presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Mrs. Tish Moss Stewart of Nashville, Tenn. and the groom’s sister Mrs. Meredith Melvin Weaver of Atlanta were matrons of honor.

The groom’s father was the best man. Ushers were Mr. Radford Carlton Stewart IV and Mr. Jay Allen Weaver.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Brow Lake Cottage in Lookout Mountain on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at the Grandview in Lookout Mountain following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Atlanta.
