Brennan Westervelt Moseley and Jon Douglas Stewart Jr. were united in marriage at 7 p.m. April 12, 2008, in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, S.C. The bride is the daughter of Anne and George Edward Moseley of Spartanburg. The groom is the son of Helen and Jon Douglas Stewart of Gainesville.
The Rev. Ansley Belcher Page performed the ceremony. Violinists Peter Allen Moore and June Bradford Seregue presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Kerri Jeanne Fuller of Atlanta was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Courtney Woodward and Caroline Fuller Lockerman, both of Atlanta, Leigh Ann Jackson of Raleigh, N.C., Christina McHugh of Carey, N.C., and Frances Hunter Floyd of Jackson Hole, Wyo. The groom’s cousin Kathleen Heath Helms of Atlanta and the groom’s niece Elizabeth May Stewart of Gainesville were the flower girls.
The groom’s father was the best man. Ushers were the groom’s brother William Andrew Stewart of Gainesville, the bride’s brother George Edward Moseley of Chapel Hill, N.C., the groom’s friend John Brent Jones of Gainesville, the groom’s cousins William Collier Helms and Robert Carter Helms, both of Charleston, S.C., and the groom’s friends Christopher Andrew Carter and Mitchell Alan Wilson, both of Gainesville.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at the Country Club of Spartanburg on the eve of the wedding.
The bride’s parents gave a reception at the Piedmont Club in Spartanburg following the ceremony. Following a wedding trip to Prague, Czech Republic and Vienna, Austria, the couple resides in Atlanta.
