Allison Kathleen Mitchell and John David Lundy were united in marriage at 6 p.m. July 14, 2007, at the Gold Creek Golf Club in Dawsonville. The bride is the daughter of Dale and Kathleen Mitchell of Murrayville. The groom is the son of Thomas and Sylvia Lundy of Dahlonega.

The groom’s uncle, the Rev. Stephen Gower, performed the ceremony. Vocalist Spencer Wright presented a program of wedding music. Charles Finley was the reader.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride’s friend Amy Whitmire of Gainesville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister Hilary Mitchell of Dublin, Ohio, the bride’s friend Erin Riley of Rexburg, Idaho, the bride’s cousin Sarah Truelove-Caruso of Oakwood and the bride’s friend Kimberly Smigelsky of Oakwood. The groom’s niece MacKenzie Lundy of Grayson, was the flower girl.

The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers Mac Lundy of Grayson and Christopher Lundy of Dahlonega, the groom’s friend Ron Hickman of Lawrenceville and the bride’s brother Cody Mitchell of Athens.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at the Oar House in Dahlonega on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at the Gold Creek Golf Club in Dawsonville following the ceremony.Courtney Surber-Paz and Cathie Waddell were the wedding coordinators.

Following a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Dahlonega.
